new and old

I know that I have been away for a little while. I have been pretty busy. The kids start school in about 2 weeks and I have a lot to complete before school starts. I am going to do a little less on the pole then I want to.

What I am really working on now though is getting back to that same feeling that I had when I was dancing at the clubs. It's hard to find girls who just dance and not cut and paste the best of the pole tricks. Most of what I see could not be added to a dance becasue a lot of these girls cannot dance (oh, did I just say that). Pole dancing to me is about moving with the music and letting yourself go. There is nothing more beautiful to me then to see someone let go of all fear and move with the music. This is what I am going to do.....for the rest of the month...it's all about music and moving to what I love. Letting myself go and enjoy the movements.

I have been looking for some new music. I hate to dance to the most "popular" songs. When I was working at the club it use to get old hearing the same songs over and over again. I also love when I can hear a song and say "hey, that's MY song" to know that there is that one song that moves me. It also helps to know the word of the songs that you are dancing to....he help bring out that "something special" in people.

Dancing sexy is not a bad thing. I love to dance sexy and look in a mirror and think "damn, I still got it" I also love to learn tricks and see how strong I am....it's a wonderful feeling and powerful to know that if I feel like being sexy I can be and if I want to show off my strength then I can do that also and if I really want to show off I can do both together.

Oh, the power we have as women is sooooo great! If you have a song that you love let me know what you are dancing to or just listining to...maybe you will spark a special feeling in me that will get me to love "your" song.

Can't agree with you more. Only problem with, someone like me not being a dancer, it's hard to 'prioritise' what's more important in a pole dance, the dance? the pole trick? the transition? the poses? there's so much to take care off and half the time i lose control over what i should do and can do..not sure if you know what i mean

I think we all get caught up in the tricks but it's the dance that matters. Best times for me on the pole where when I broke my arm and couldn't do any tricks - had to just move - it completely revolutionised my perfomance.

Call me cliched but my fave song to pole to is Hot in Herre by Nelly. Agree with you there's nowt wrong in pole dancing being sexy, it's not just all about the tricks, eh. There seems to be this weird belief just now that if you dance in a club, you just 'wiggle' and can't do tricks ... total bollocks, many club dancers could kick so called fitness pole dancers ass with their awesome tricks - stand up Jenyne, Pantera, Bobbi and so forth. And their sexy moves. Wooooooo!
